WHAT'S NEW ! ! !

August 2010
Another month? Where DOES the time go? I've been diligently at the easel lately so I'll have some new pieces soon. I think I need to go to the beach and enjoy the wonderful weather we're having. Who knows? Maybe there will be a painting or two down there.

July 2010

After three months of working on it, I'm very, very, VERY close to completing this piece.

I just don't know what to call it . . .
Terra Firma?
Core?
Age of Innocence?
. . . . . Let me know what you think.

I just got back from out yearly "Girl Trip" . . . this time we went to York, Maine . . .it was gorgious . . the weather beautiful and the company was FANTASTIC!

The "Wicked Crazy Studio Sale" was a lot of fun and a resounding success. Now it's time for new directions and experimentation. I came across this AMAZING piece of stone that has vaulted me into my next creation. This one is going to take some time so stay tuned.

In the meantime, I'm also working on new dance pieces . . . wooo hooo!

Marcus was here visiting so I spent NO time on the computer. It was wonderful having my baby to hug. I think I'll bask in the warmth of that feeling for a little bit.

The end of January I spent a wonderfully inspiring weekend with my friend and fellow artist, Diane Scott. She has the BEST studio sitting on a lake in New Hampshire. What a wonderful place! Check out her website by clicking on her name. She has wonderful pieces that I'm sure you'll enjoy.

WooooHooooo! Marcus advanced to the quarter finals at the Volcom Pipeline Pro competition. Click on this link, go to day 2 and scroll down to Round 64 Heat 3 to see Marcus in his second heat. It's raw excitement!

Wanting to do my part, as humble a part as that may be, I donated "The Deep Blue" to the The American Red Cross. I truly believe that when you're allowed to help others the benefit to your heart is great and swift.

October 2009 I took a trip to my homeland (Panama') and had a wonderful time. Here are a couple of photos . . . I hope to go back soon.

The area behind her is where my mother was born.

This is a very cool church in El Valle which is nestled up in the mountains.

This piece of driftwood looked like a bird to me.

Erin continues to "wow" them in LA. Congratulations to her for her many successes, can't wait for the EP.

I found it! There a VERY cool blog from Rapa Nui where Marcus is on a surf trip sponsored by InSurfNews.com. Check it out - it's really great and the scenery is unbelievable!

The two grand puppies with Amber, aren't they just too cute?!!!

Another part of Panama city.

Could be an alien life form spy unit OR merely a strange centerpiece in a little restaurant in Panama'.

In El Salvador spending time in the hammock . . . ahhhhhhh!

Another great shot along the coast of El Salvador.

This is that study of greens that I did in my studio. I think it's helpful to continue with these excercises every once in a great while.
