Heading towards Panamá was its own little adventure.
I was also able to spend time with my brother and sister-inn-law which is always a wonderful treat.
There are so many parts of the area where I used to live that seem familiar and then, in an instant, I’m completely lost and everything looks foreign.
I guess that’s the natural progression of places . . . and people for that matter.
Then there’s Mexico City. I love going back, visiting familiar places and exploring new ones. Seeing my girls and friends of theirs that I’d like to consider friends of mine now.
I am nervous about going to Panamá though. My Spanish is better than it was a couple of years ago but I still get stuck. AND I’m afraid I’ll be like a deer in headlights when it comes to trying to communicate with my family.
One of my lifelong tenets has been, “If it’s uncomfortable . . . . DO IT!” (Within reason, of course). Some of my best (and worst) experiences are a result of this credo.
Fingers crossed . . . . here I go . . . . .
